We recently carried out a measured building survey on a beautiful Grade II listed late 18th-century town house in Tavistock. The property features elegant sash windows, slate-hung walls and distinctive cornice detailing. The survey was required as part of a listed building consent application to install gas and modernise the property while preserving its historical charm. A quirky building with a unique character, made up with multiple apartments tucked within the thick, curved walls - a glimpse into its layered past. It’s always a pleasure working on heritage buildings like this and helping shape their future use with careful planning.
